You wanted the best you got the best......

You wanted the best you got the best......

I’ve sat here for about an hour with a black screen unsure what to write. Normally that occurs because I’m not a very good writer. Although that is part of the case, this time there’s a little more.

A few years ago I was introduced VIA the internet to a young man. His name was Justin Plunkett

At first glance he appears to be like every other 16 year old, however this young man was a little special.
You see at 16 he was diagnosed with a form of cancer. (I’m not clear exactly what it was, but let’s focus on the good not the bad)

You could see in this kid’s eye he wasn’t going down without a fight.

I followed this kid’s fight the entire time rooting for him every step of the way

He had created a Bucket List. On that list was to attend last night’s Kiss Concert here in Victoria BC.

I had the honor of attending the "Photo Pit" for the first time last night.

As the new guy it was certainly an on the fly learning experience.

You are given the first two songs to get as many photos as possible.

Sounds easy? Not quite, you also have to be mindful of the other Media people, not trip over CTV news Camera Guys Cord and not get blown up by the Pyro.

During the whole time all I could think about besides the above mentioned issues, was to take the best pics I could for Justin.

Sadly though I woke up this morning to the news that Justin had passed away at 4:40am

Our Facebook Page has the Photos taken in honor of Justin and can be viewed

HERE

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Justin he touched a whole lot of people...

Whatever your belief is as to where he has gone....

If I had one message to say to god or whoever is in charge of that place...

"You wanted the best you got the best..........and this time its Justin..."

 RIP JUSTIN

  2. Thank you. Justin would have loved the show - but he mostly would have loved all the attention you and the band were putting into making the night special for him even when he was not able to attend. Thank you all for the effort... I guarantee this kid was worth it!!!!!

  3. God Bless, Justin. I'm pretty sure he had the best view of the concert from way up there!
